La Lorenza Kayak and Jungle

Description

2 daily departures with prior reservation (confirmed post-pandemic departures)

A half-day walk in La Lorenza, a small private reserve just 40 km from the city of Iguazú.

Upon arrival, we start a 45-minute guided walk through the jungle where we share interesting information about the natural processes that make this ecosystem so dynamic and unique. Towards the end of the trail, on the shore of a stream, the kayaks await us. The serene flow of the waters invites us to contemplate the jungle from another perspective. Rowing we look out over the imposing Paraná River and observe its agile evolution. From there it is possible to see the coast of our neighboring country, Paraguay.

We immerse ourselves in an activity of re-connection and re-encounter with nature, which asks to refine our senses. Once on dry land, we set out back escorted by wealth

botany of this place. Orchids, bromeliads and birds come out to meet us. At the end of the tour, on our deck with a privileged view we will share something to eat and drink.

This exit comprises 150 meters of steep slope. Report health problems and allergies in advance. When the river is low or it has rained, the shore can be muddy and footwear is likely to get dirty. It is NOT recommended for children under 8 years of age, pregnant women, people with a physical handicap. Knowing how to swim is exclusive.

Wanda Mines

Description

Departures subject to confirmation, in the morning or in the afternoon. Includes transfer. Does not include income. It represents a route of 40 km from the city of Puerto Iguazú to the City of Colonia Wanda, on National Route No. 12.

The Precious Stone mines deposit is a unique attraction, with the particularity of being in the open sky over the mighty Paraná River, with samples of agates, quartz, rock crystal, amethyst and topaz. It accompanies the landscape, covered with extensive plantations of pine trees, yerba mate and tea, among others, pillars of the regional economy.

Mocona

Description

Regular Departures: Thursday and Sunday. Starting at 7 am.

Mocona in Guaraní language: “The one who swallows everything.”

The Moconá Provincial Park is located in the east-central region of Misiones, about 337 kilometers from Posadas, capital of the province, and 320 kilometers from the city of Puerto Iguazú.

Its formation is due to a geological fault on the Uruguay River, between the mouths of the Pepirí Guazú and Yabotí streams (on the Argentine side), and the Brazilian rivers Serapiao and Calixto.

The Great Salto del Moconá is a 3-kilometer-long canyon with waterfalls parallel to its channel.

The Moconá Falls are home to unique plant and animal species associated with the rocks, which are called the Yaboti Biosphere.

The visitor begins to enjoy nature from the start of the route that connects El Soberbio with the Moconá Provincial Park, accessing viewpoints with spectacular views, particularly the one over the Uruguay River.
